Welcome to my Teaching Portfolio!
I am passionate about teaching undergraduate students in sociology and introducing students across the social sciences and humanities to research. I honed my teaching philosophy and style—which emphasizes creative thinking, inclusivity, and research skills—across three courses that I served as the primary instructor for (in addition to 9 quarters of teaching assistantships). I have been the recipient of numerous teaching awards, including the UCLA Department of Sociology's Kollock Distinguished Teaching Award. This page serves as an online home for my teaching portfolio, which is also available in PDF format by request. My primary website can be reached at www.katherinesmock.com.
